Walk Worthy of your Calling

"As a prisoner for the Lord, then, I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received..."
Ephesians 4:1

In our fellowship last Saturday, I admitted that I am one person who tends to shut off herself from everything (people, things , world....church). I need to do this in order for me to get back up again. And be able to return to what I do best and what I love the most. In short, I need to be ALONE, meditate and have a good focus on what I am going thru. But in reality, I was just too lazy and too de-motivated in those times of hibernation.

When our Pastor heard my testimony, just like a father who guides her daughter, he told me that every christian is undergoing the same situation as I did. And that I am not alone.

"For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure."
Philippians 2:13

Then, our topic at church last Sunday hit me real hard, Because prior to that day, I was not able to attend the church for 3 weeks. Why? because of my selfishness and self reliant-ness.

When I woke up that morning, I was really debating within myself if whether I would go to church or not. Despite our fellowship, I was still not motivated to go that day. It was like my evil self vs my good self. It was like looking at a mirror, staring at myself only to fight with her.
But as the spirit now lives within me. And as a child of God, I was able to fight (laziness) myself and get up, prepare myself and go to church in less than an hour and a half before the sermons starts.

I was able to attend the church and hear God's word. A decision I am proud of. Not boasting here. But I am happy I was not able to disappoint God that day.

Truly, it is hard for us Christians to live a life worthy of our calling because we have to fight not just this world but also our selves. But as our Pastor preaches, he told us that "our conduct must match our calling. We need to have a balance between those two. We have to put on character just like Jesus have: love, lowliness, patience, gentleness, and long suffering. A wrong perspective will lead us to a wrong behavior."

Are we walking worthy of our calling?

That topic made me assess myself. And I hope you too. It is a good discussion that we can deal within our selves every single day.

Love lots,
Ruby

Lifestyle Change This July

So this July I want to change something in my life. I guess you can say that I am now realizing that I do not want to be that girl anymore who always locks herself in her room and not do anything to make her life better. I am done with pleasing other people which makes me forget about myself. I am through with putting other people first more than myself. In the past few years I have ignored myself. My body. My health. My spirituality. My belief and values. So this month, I have decided to start something that I have been wanting to do for the longest time.

I want to regain my self-esteem and confidence again by having a healthy lifestyle. And my starting point would be getting fit again. How would I do that? I took simple steps. And bit by bit I found myself having to move my body and workout.

1. Gym or workout clothes - A couple of months ago, I decided to buy 3 jogging pants, 3 workout shirts and 2 sports bra. I was thinking back then that maybe I need the right clothes for me to be motivated to workout. Sadly, it took me awhile to wear them because I was not able to enroll in a gym because my work schedule got really busy. But I am glad that I bought them in advance because they are my favorite thing to wear now. I guess what? I will buy more! Specially sports bra and yoga pants.

2. Running shoes/new kicks! - I just recently purchased a pair of black running shoe. OMG! I am in love with it! They are so comfortable and it goes really well with the workout clothes that I bought. Its from Reebok and very cheap I must say. I saw Khloe Kardashian wearing an all black running shoe on a picture one day, and it made me want to own one as well. So, when I was really decided to buy a running shoe, I saw it and my friends love it as well so I decided to buy those gorgeous pair!

3. Fitness journal/log - I want to have a journal where I can track down my meals and my progress when I workout. Thankfully, I have a planner that is perfect to use as a fitness/health journal. I am using the #BeTheBestYou Planner because on each month it has an area for goal setting, mini journal and the best part, there is a page where in there is an illustration of a girl which I can use to track my measurements. How cool is that right?

4. Smoothies and juices - since I am in a health kick this month, I want to start my diet in the right way as well. I want to fuel my body with fruits and veggies from now on. But since I am no cook, and there's no way that I can experiment with different recipes, I am so glad that we have this old book full of different recipes for juicing and creating smoothies that are easy to follow! So perfect!

5. Dance Studio - Lastly, just last week, I decided to enroll in a dance class. I guess heavy equipments are not my thing. And I think that is the reason why I keep on holding back on going to the gym. My first love is dancing. And it has been my workout ever since I was a kid. I am so happy that I found a dance studio that is near from where I live. It teaches Pilates, Belly Dancing, Hiphop and Zumba. I love that I can sweat while having fun doing their dance workout.

Like I mentioned, I took tiny steps in order to start something that I have been wanting to do for a long time. I didn't do all these in one day. This is not a compulsive decision. I thought about it for days, weeks, months, until I could really have a final decision. I do not want to surprise myself with something that I have decided then in the end I would just throw it all away.

Right now, I am so motivated to trim down my weight and loose all those extra baggage... ehem... I mean extra fats in my body. I want to be toned and come on lets be real here... SEXY :D

TRAVEL: Conquering the World in Baguio City

(As I plug my phone to charge, I decided to do this super duper late blog post!)

So how did you guys celebrated Valentines day? I hope you guys were full of love and life that day whether you are single or not :) This was my first time to celebrate v-day as a single woman. Not that I usually celebrate it every year with my ex. Infact I can't think of one year that we saw each other and really spend that day with each other. As I remember, V-day was just any other usual day for us. Nothing special...

Ok enough talking about my ex >.<

Last February 14-15, my co-workers/travel buddies went to Baguio City. It was my first time in a long time to be there. Ok so the cold weather there really got me excited. My favorite clothing are cardigans and sweater which was very appropriate in the area. Plus thinking about buying more sweaters and beanies got my heart pumping :D

Baguio is such a beautiful place. I really felt I was a foreigner in my own country. It's really different from the sunny weather we have in Manila. Another thing is the roads are very steep it makes me loose my breathe because of all the walking we did. Very challenging actually. But I love the people there. They are very friendly and approachable.

Where we went and what we did:

DAY 1:
where we had lunch

Burnham Park

At Mines View

The boys cooked dinner at the place we were staying (making me want some bbqs right now!!)

This place bakes the best Oreo Cheesecake!

Day 2:
At Strawberry Farm

Tam-awan Village

The magical museum of Bencab

at PMa

Kenon Road

No wonder why the production of the movie "THE THING CALLED TADHANA" chose this place.... This place makes anyone forget their problems, worries or burden in life...

What I wore:

Cant you tell that I really love sweaters I bought one there and who can resist not buying that panda hat and tasting their strawberry ice cream!! I wouldn't miss any of this in the world!! ^.^

This is my favorite pic at the moment. Its telling me that I can conquer the world no matter what and where I am. I only have to believe in myself that I can do everything with God and thru him nothing is impossible!

Kikki.k Large Leather Personal Planner in PINK

I am so friggin excited to show you guys my first biggest purchase for this year. It may sound silly for some but for a paper-stationery-planner addict like myself, the feeling is really overwhelming :D

Without further ado... Let me introduce to you my first kikki.k planner! In guess what color guys.... IN PINK!!!

G-O-R-G-E-O-U-S!!!

See as a planner/organizer lover, I am not really into A5 or Large sizes. And I felt like I don't need this size in my life. But there are however two A5 size planners I really really want if I could get them and think of a  use for them. I was drooling over the Deep Pink Domino A5 Filofax and this Pink Kikki.k Planner.

The first time I saw this planner on Instagram I just fell in love! And I told myself I have to get one. But of course I was fighting myself because I really don't need it and maybe it will just be another binder on display in my room. But then one day, I have thought of a brilliant idea on what I will use it!

Since I am so inspired over AmyHale at instagram with all her scripture journal. I decided to upgrade my spiritual binder into this! So I could have more space to write my notes in at church during sermon and of course so whenever I do my bible reading and journal.

So let us look further on this beauty...

Ohh that grainy texture of the binder I love the most! Plus that baby pink color make it even more eye-catchy! And look at the gold button with a K engraved on it!
Another thing that made me fall for this is the lining on the inside. That gray color matches really well on that pink color.
Another plus feature are the pockets. My fave is the secretarial pocket and the zipper area.
GOLD RINGS!!!!!
Elastized penloop!
Now let's move on to the inserts...

it has 7 rainbow colored dividers with 3 tabs written as: calendar, meetings and to do. The other 4 were blank so you can customize it however you want.
On the calendar section, 3 sheets of papers were included
Here is the meeting pages
The to do pages
And a ton of these lined paper on each 4 untabbed section.
Laying at the back, it has this super cute note pad.
So that's basically the features of the entire binder. Now you know how much I craved for this hahaha! Who would not want one right?

Will make a video about how I set this up over at my youtube channel on the next coming days so watch out for that :)

Do you guys use this same planner also? Or if you have an A5 size how do you use it? Hope you guys share yours ^.^

OOTD: Enchanted (Kingdom) by Tagaytay

This is my first travel for 2015. I had an out of town trip with my friends/co-workers in Enchanted Kingdom and Tagaytay City last Saturday, January 17.

It was exhausting but I had a blast! Woke up at 3 am and ended our day at 10 pm.

It was also my first long drive! I drove practically the entire day moving from Fairview (my hometown) - stop over at SLEX SHELL for some coffee - on the way again to Bag of Beans for breakfast - short stop at Sky Ranch - then off we go to People's Park - then finally to our last stop at ENCHANTED KINGDOM. It was really tiring but I didnt care because I loved the adventure we had! It amazes me how good I was at driving that day hahaha!!

It is my dream of wearing a leather jacket. And I finally got around into wearing one thank God for the breeziness and coldness of Tagaytay!!
I saw this hanging on the wall of Bag of beans and it was so perfect that day. I realized that a few of my dreams came true that day. Wearing a leather jacket. Driving to a (zigzaggy road) far place. Visiting EK again and Going to Tagaytay. Now I can totally check these off my bucket list ^.^

I was given this scarf and so I changed my outfit to this when we went to EK!!
I didn't want to include a picture of my friends here for private reasons but can you tell on my face how happy I was that day? Totally blissful!

Where did you go on your first trip for this year? I hope you had fun like I did. Really kicked off my first month of this year ^.^

Ruby

New Home

Hi lovely readers and followers of my blog over at rainbyxoxo (if there's any! :) or if you have just stumbled across this blog. Welcome! :)

Let me first introduce myself for those who don't know me. My name is Ruby. I live in the Philippines and I can't remember how many times I've changed my blog lol!

Anyhoo! For those asking why the sudden change? Well, rainbyxoxo is a name I chose because its a combination of my name and my ex-boyfriend and I guess since it's inappropriate to use it anymore, I decided to move again.

Why MsPassiontea?
I have been using this name since 2009 when I first started out my Youtube channel and so I decided to use only one name on all my social medias from now on.

This blog will be about.... My adventures with my family and friends. My personal walk with God. My passion and creativity in art (?), organization, lifestyle, fashion and make up. Everything put in a cup of tea of my so called life.

And I hope I can inspire you guys through this....

So let's get started!!!

xoxo,
Ruby
